The AFPNEO Chapter accepts credit card, check, and cash payments, and you may pay at the meeting. However, reservations are required, so we may ensure enough food is ordered. Late registrants will be charged an additional $5.00 late fee to cover vendor charges.

Because we have to pay for the food we order, if you make a reservation, you are responsible for the fee even if you do not attend. Cancellations must be received by the posted reservation deadline to be eligible for a refund or non-payment.

AFP's Donor Retention Course

Presented by ...

  • Ken Frisch, ACFRE, FAFP
  • Vern Snyder, ACFRE, FAFP

retentionAccording to data collected via the Fundraising Effectiveness Project, nonprofits are losing nearly as many donors and gifts as they gain each year. Although acquisition of new donors is important, the return-on-investment for your organization clearly indicates that keeping the donors you have is much less expensive than finding new donors.

AFP's Donor Retention Course includes small group work on a fictional case study based on real data, making the learning experience both substantive and enjoyable. The focus is on developing a donor retention plan based on what research indicates really works. It shows the value of tracking overall gains and losses in gifts and donors – and then using that information to develop cultivation strategies to improve donor retention.

Learning objectives include:

  • Identify effective practices to retain and upgrade your donors and improve fundraising effectiveness.
  • Prepare a donor retention plan for your organization.
  • Use data from growth-in-giving reports to develop growth-oriented fundraising strategies.
