Reservation/Cancellation Deadline:
You must register by September 20 so that we have time to order enough books.

2019 is our YEAR OF THE MEMBER!

Cost after September 30:

  • $5 for AFPNEO members, $30 for non-members.
  • The deadline to order the book/assessment code through AFPNEO has passed. You can order your own copy here.

Approved for 1.25 CFRE credits; click here for the documentation.

Payment & Refund Policy

In 2019, to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and YEAR OF THE MEMBER, all professional development programs are FREE for members! Not-yet-members pay $25. To join AFP, click here.

The AFPNEO Chapter accepts credit card, check, and cash payments, and you may pay at the meeting. However, reservations are required, so we may ensure enough food is ordered. Late registrants will be charged an additional $5.00 late fee to cover vendor charges.

Because we have to pay for the food we order, if you make a reservation, you are responsible for the fee even if you do not attend. Cancellations must be received by the posted reservation deadline to be eligible for a refund or non-payment.

PLEASE NOTE: To ensure sufficient delivery/pick-up times, the LAST DAY to order your Clifton StrengthsFinder 2.0 through AFPNEO is Monday, September 30, 4:00 pm. Thank you!

Refining Your Personal Fundraising Style with the Clifton StrengthsFinder

Clifton Strength FinderPresented by Cindy J. Biggs, CPCC, ACC, President, C. Biggs and Associates

Maximize Your Strengths to Become Your Best Fundraiser!

What are your best traits? How do you maximize them to be the best fundraising professional you can be? Discover your natural talents by taking the Clifton StrengthsFinder 2.0. Take the assessment and plan to attend the October 16 professional development meeting to unpack your skills and learn how to maximize them.

As part of our Year of the Member, AFP members may receive the book/assessment code FREE! The workshop is FREE. The benefits to you - PRICELESS! (Not-yet-members are encouraged to participate. The benefits are still PRICELESS!)

The deadline to order the book/assessment code through AFPNEO has passed. You can order your own copy here.

IF YOU HAVE ORDERED THE BOOK BY THE DEADLINE: Plan to pick up your book on Tuesday, October 1. Jacquie, APFNEO Chapter Administrator, will be at Panera Bread on Arlington Road from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Can’t make this? You may pick up your book October 8-14 at The Village of St. Edward, 3131 Smith Rd., Fairlawn. Call Vondea Sheaffer at (234) 466-0556 to schedule.

Take the Test BEFORE the Meeting

1.  Pick up your book and assessment code (see instructions above in blue).

2. Figure out the best time and place to take the StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment.  You want to be in a place with a lap top or computer, with reliable internet connection.  Be in a place where you are by yourself and free from any distractions for up to 45 minutes.

3. Complete the assessment. This is a multiple choice assessment that is timed, so do not think too long or too hard on your choice of an answer.  You want to choose the response that best describes you right now how you are, not how you want to me.   If you take too long on one question, it will skip you to the next question.

4.  After you complete the assessment, you will receive a personalized strengths-based leadership guide listing your top five leadership strengths in order.  Your strengths are reported out in order – 1-5 with 1 being your top strength.  If you are wanting to discuss the assessment on our coaching call, send me your top 5 strengths in order before our call.

Preparing for our meeting:

Ask yourself the following questions. Take some notes and bring your thoughts to our meeting:

  • Are you surprised what your strengths are? Do they make sense to you?
  • How do you use these strengths in your current job?
  • What could you do to focus more on your strengths in your job?
  • On your very best day at work – the day you came home and thought you have the best job in the world – what did you do that day?
