Payment & Refund Policy

In 2019, to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and YEAR OF THE MEMBER, all professional development programs are FREE for members! Not-yet-members pay $25. To join AFP, click here.

The AFPNEO Chapter accepts credit card, check, and cash payments, and you may pay at the meeting. However, reservations are required, so we may ensure enough food is ordered. Late registrants will be charged an additional $5.00 late fee to cover vendor charges.

Because we have to pay for the food we order, if you make a reservation, you are responsible for the fee even if you do not attend. Cancellations must be received by the posted reservation deadline to be eligible for a refund or non-payment.

Communicate Smarter, Not Harder

Presented by Ceci Dadisman, Digital Marketing Manager, FORM

communicateAre you still mailing the same appeal letter to your entire list? Do you send the same fundraising email to all your prospects? Not every patron will respond in the same way to your message. The key to a successful marketing campaign is using data to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time.

This session will show you how to mine your patron data for predispositions and propensities to target your potential donors with communications focused and relevant to each individual recipient. You will learn how to segment your digital and traditional communications (yes, including direct mail!) to strategically attract and retain patrons.

This session is relevant to fundraisers of all levels at organizations of all budget sizes and focuses on free and low-cost resources.

In this session you will:

  • See how data can be used to determine interests and propensity to gove
  • Learn how segmentation can lower costs and maximize results
  • Discover how you can use messaging variations to engage each segment
  • Set up strategic communications to allow your donors to self-select their interests

About the Presenter

Ceci DadismanCeci Dadisman travels the country speaking at conferences and teaching workshops to empower nonprofit professionals with knowledge and inspiration. In tactical sessions, she shares knowledge on how to do things like run a Facebook advertising campaign and use data to make smarter marketing decisions. Her focus is on how we, as organizations, can be more authentic in the way we communicate, and how we can curate the patron experience to bring in new audiences and better engage current ones.
